Appeals training and complex administration

At the request of local authorities, IRRV is running this workshop to cover all you need to know about reconsiderations, appeals and reviews within the Housing Benefits and Council Tax Reduction schemes and Council Tax.  

It will also look in-depth at complex areas within Council Tax and benefits administration.

Aim                 

This day will deal with reconsiderations and appeals, with a topical look at the current complex issues within revenues and benefits administration, and supporting case law.    This workshop will share best practice and thinking on these issues, faced by revenues and benefits practitioners.    The day will be of relevance to persons involved in the day to day administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax (including CTR) and to those who have to make the decisions and carry out reconsiderations.

The day is designed to be interactive and to promote and share with colleagues what is working and what areas need attention.

The course will be facilitated by Les Robertson IRRV, who is the immediate past Institute Scottish Association President and Education Liaison Officer for Scotland.    Les is a respected Revenues and Benefit practitioner with over 20 years of experience in these fields.  The workshop represents excellent value for money, with seminar fees starting at only £125 + VAT.   Every fourth place from the same organisation booked for this course (and made in the same booking) is entirely free of charge.
