Course Background

IRRV in Scotland is delighted to announce this important workshop. It is the last in a series of five that we are delivering in partnership with John Giblin.

  • It is extremely rare for performance failings to be remedied simply by fixing processes alone.
  • Within a revenues and benefits context this workshop provides a practical introduction to understanding how leaders engage with their people to get the most from them.
  • The workshop will also provide some helpful insight into how teams might better perform.
  • Finally the workshop will provide a practical overview of how and when to tackle individual performance deficiences.

The Detail

The practical theme of this workshop will be how to best prepare for difficult conversations, rather than avoid them.

If you are a new manager or an experienced manager who wants a refresh, these interactive workshops are perfect.

So far some delegates have attended all the workshops, while others have dipped in and out. In any event all delegates have rated each workshop as somewhere between very good and excellent.

The workshops are in response to growing demand for more generic management training set in a revenues and benefits context and John has been commissioned to design and deliver a series of five in total. It is planned that they will be delivered separately on a rolling basis over the next 12 to 18 months. Each one is very much stand-alone and tailored around a cluster of management competences and current challenges. Additionally each one will have its own theme and case study to bring the learning to life within a current context.

Each workshop comprises a limited number of delegates to ensure full audience participation and make sure delegates get maximum benefit from the events. As well as instructor lead sessions, each has a good number of interactive sessions and syndicate exercises.

The workshops are designed for both senior managers wanting to refresh their existing knowledge as well as more junior staff, perhaps on their first management development journey.

With many of the delegates from previous workshops already signing up, it is essential that you book you places early so that you are not disappointed.

The seminar represents excellent value for money, with seminar fees starting at only £125 + VAT. This includes lunch, refreshments, and training materials.
