Course Background

The purpose of this important seminar is to provide an overview of the requirements to address vulnerability in collecting revenues, both statutory and advisory.

This event will assist delegates in understanding the differing types of vulnerable person including medical terminology and behaviours.

It will also assist delegates in their dealings negotiations and information gathering.

The day is designed to be interactive and promotes sharing of knowledge and best practice.  Timings are indicative and are subject to change on the day.

COURSE LEADERS :

The course will be facilitated by David Chapman and Bob Trahern.

Dave Chapman is former IRRV National President (2012/13) and Marston Holdings Client Services Director.   Marston Holdings were winners of Excellence in Enforcement at the IRRV Awards 2017 and Excellence in Training and Development 2015, for their approach and understanding of vulnerability in both staff training and service delivery.

Bob Trahern is former IRRV National President (2008/09) and Assistant Chief Executive, North Warwickshire Borough Council. Bob represents local authorities on a number of national groups exploring how best to support customers.   His council has been double winners of the Public Collection Team of the Year 2016 and 2017 at the Collections and Customer Awards and also won a number of Social and Financial Inclusion awards from a range of national organisations for their approach to supporting customers working alongside its financial Inclusion partners drawn from both the public, private and third sector.

The seminar represents excellent value for money, with seminar fees starting at only £145 + VAT.   This includes lunch, refreshments, and training materials.

As places are limited, early booking is recommended.   The IRRV regrets that, under normal circumstances, delegate fees cannot be refunded.   However, delegate substitutions may be made at no cost at any time prior to the Seminar, subject to these being notified to the Institute.

Please complete the booking form and send/fax it to the address above.   You may also e-mail bookings to scotland@irrv.org.uk.   Full joining instructions will be sent to delegates once a booking form has been received.
